OLR at Cross Talk 2022

This year’s Cross Talk has exceeded expectations. The event has gathered the biggest retail players and partners together, to share their experiences and best practices, energizing and inspiring each other to create better retail of the future with Oracle Retail.

Here are the top themes we have spotted:

✅ Achieving sustainability with technology - sustainability is the current hot topic for all retailers, it was great to see that Oracle also acting upon the agenda by building the necessary technology to support retailers in their journey to sustainability. They have evolved their technology to provide buying and merchandising teams with the analytics in a consolidated location, necessary to help make quick and right decisions to optimize inventory, prevent logistic issues, support the supply chain, and ultimately fulfil clients' needs.

✅ CloudFirst - consumer expectations have evolved over the last two years, as the only retail channel that they could use was online, a unified experience between online and brick-and-mortar became a must. With continuous releases of new technologies and product updates, the only way not to be left behind is to move to Merchandising Foundation Cloud Services to be continuously up to date with automatic batch releases and upgrades, so that all the Oracle clients can have the ‘latest and greatest of technology available.

✅ Sense of community - there was a sense of community like at no other conference so far this year. United by Oracle Retail, retailers and partners were keen to exchange ideas and best practices to help the community to evolve and advance. It was inspiring to see the sense of collaborative spirit and we are looking to maintain it at this rate.
