Technical Infrastructure Consultant
Technical Infrastructure Consultants are relied upon to use their knowledge of database administration, Oracle Application Servers and hardware systems to ensure appropriate installation, configuration, and operations of Oracle Retail software and underlying infrastructure components.
We rely on our Technical Infrastructure Consultants to:
- Update and maintain Oracle RDBMS
- Perform installation and configuration of Oracle Retail application database
- Setup and maintain web server and application server hardware and software environments
- Assist in defining and ensuring adherence to both Oracle Retail and OLR database standards
- Maintain and update Oracle Internet Developer Suite applications
- Analyse database and hardware sizing and capacity planning
- Assist in defining Oracle Retail software functionality and performing appropriate modifications and enhancements
- Provide on-call support as needed during non-business hours
We are looking for Technical Infrastructure Consultants with:
- Proven experience with Oracle Database administration and Oracle Applications development
- Demonstrable knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and the Data Dictionary
- Experience with Oracle database performance tuning, C / C++, ProC, and LINUX/UNIX (shell scripting)
- Demonstrable record in successful large scale package software implementation
- Previous experience with packaged software applications, such as Oracle Retail, OBIEE, OAS
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization
- Professional and strong interpersonal approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
