Technical Consultant
Technical Consultants are responsible to provide Oracle Retail software product knowledge in order to facilitate successful implementations and on-going functionality of the Oracle Retail product suite for OLR's clients. Technical Consultants must have retail industry knowledge along with technical experience with Oracle Retail software (such as RMS, RPM, RDW, RIB, ReSA, RTM, SIM, etc).
We rely on our Technical Consultants to:
- Analyse, define, develop and test client data conversions, interfaces, and application enhancements
- Define implementation and integration alternatives
- Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues intermittently
- Build overall client system schedule including online and batch operations
- Communicate knowledge transfers to client's personnel regarding Oracle Retail software and OLR applications and requirements
We are looking for Technical Consultants with:
- Demonstrated understanding of Oracle Retail software solution technical concepts, integration points, and functional application knowledge
- Strong ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Demonstrable record in successful large scale package software implementation
- Knowledge of at least two of the following: PL/SQL, C / C++, Oracle ProC, Java (J2EE and swing), Oracle Forms, XML, UNIX (shell scripting)
- Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information
