Planning and Optimisation Business Consultant
RPAS Applications Consultants combine a strong understanding of technical concepts, integration points, and functional application knowledge of the Oracle Retail Predictive Applications with retail industry knowledge to facilitate successful implementations of the ORPAS product suite for OLR's clients.
We rely on our Planning and Optimisation Business Consultants to:
- Assist in the definition of project objectives, scope, organization, timelines, and overall approach
- Consider and define implementation and integration alternatives
- Assist the client Business Process Team Leader to develop the strategy and plan the work required by the Business Process Team to support implementation
- Document functional requirements and support design process for the client
- Act as a contact for the planning process advice and provide coaching to the client business process team users
- Collaborate with the OLR RPAS implementation team on planning implementation design, build and test
- Define system configuration requirements, identify gaps and recommend system configuration and/or process changes to optimally satisfy business requirements using the Oracle RPAS application.
- Escalate project issues that cannot be resolved within his/her sphere of influence and/or authority to the Senior BC or Project Manager as needed
- Perform go-live assessments to determine readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of retail planning, merchandising, and merchandise optimization
- Assist with the documentation of 'As Is' business processes and the development of 'To Be' processes
- Schedule and participate in workshop sessions for clients to address the business process requirements with Oracle RPAS
- Ensure follow up and resolve issues arising from workshop sessions and/or related to business processes and system functionality
We are looking for Planning and Optimisation Business Consultants with:
- A demonstrated understanding of Oracle RPAS Planning & Optimization solution functional concepts, integration points, and functional application knowledge
- Experience in the definition of business processes and improvements
- Previous consulting or participation in large-scale integration projects
- The ability to identify and proactively solve issues
- Strong client negotiation and demonstrated consulting skills
- time management skills and a high degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- The ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization
- A professional and strong interpersonal approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
