OLR completes Oracle Retail Merchandising System version 12 implementation at Michaels
Dallas, TX - July 31, 2008 - After months of preparation, OLR announces a very successful Michaels' Go-Live for version 12 of the Oracle® Retail Merchandising System. The smooth cutover and conversion was completed a full 24 hours ahead of schedule.
Within the first week, these new systems were operating at full day-to day capacity. This, combined with very few failures resulted in system availability every morning at the start of the business day. According to Michaels' staff, "This was the easiest Go-Live we've experienced."
Michaels is the nations largest specialty retailer of arts & crafts materials in North America. With stores in 48 states and Canada, Michaels and their subsidiaries carry approximately 41,000 items in nearly 1,000 stores.
